Davi opens a secret door for its fifth collection. The bittersweet melancholia of the last day of Summer, an adolescent fantasy, the very moment when childhood comes to a halt and adulthood dawns.
The tones of the prints featured this season are faded, like sun-drenched watercolors on the walls of a beach house. This summer, fishes and boat prints complete Davi's signature flower prints.
Knitwear is adorned with a hand-embroidered bluebell flower – a delicate memory of a handkerchief a gift to Davide Marello from his grandmother, when he was a child.
The mood of the collection is genuinely sensual: precious, embroidered tailoring are inspired by the 70s and worn directly on the skin. Denim shirts are reinterpreted in a patchwork of flower prints.
New and precious fabrics enrich the collection, especially the sensuous Crêpe de Chine silk of shirts embroidered with an elegant iris flower.
The video of the collection stages a dream-like scene, in which three young men question both their fears and dreams. The mist above the sea, the colour of the sky, a souvenir in the pocket – as many impressions Davide Marello wanted to use in the video, to embody and give life to the spirit of his collection.
