Paris Haute Couture SS 2017, Viktor & Rolf

Volants and patchwork for the new haute couture spring/summer collection signed by the dutch fashion designer Viktor & Rolf, talented Dutch couturier who do not participate in the debate still open if fashion is art, but they do art directly using not canvases and brushes or marble and chisel but fabrics that combine together to create masterpieces perfectly consistent with their history of avantgarde fashion designers.

On the catwalk, asymmetry, draping and tulle overlays used to draw beautiful skirts to dresses that are a patchwork of different colors, but especially of different fabrics, light, heavy... The goal is to create new structures and play with tissues as if they were remnants to make dresses almost comic for these Pierrot multicolor on the catwalk.

Unforgettable the final coupe de theatre with grand soirée dresses with tiny bustier over marvellously wide skirts made by tulle on which, like panels that are breaking off, are applied a few big pieces of fabric. Seem to many dancers of a magical music box and all together they close with a flourish a collection that is pure art.
