For the autumn-winter 2020-2021 ready-to-wear collection, peter philips, creative and image director for dior make-up, created three variations of a black eyeliner look that emphasized the personality of each model.
Peter Philips explained the nuances of a look “where I emphasized the eye taking each girl’s personality, style and look, as well as her eye shape, into consideration. The aim was to provide intensity, while playing with audacity with three different styles of black eyeliner and kohl.”
EYES : eyes were intensified with three variations of black eyeliner created using diorshow on stage liner 091 matte black and diorshow khôl 099 black, either at the upper and lower lash lines, or only on the lower lash line, or at the corner of the eye. Depending on skin tone, some girls had their eyelashes lightly coated with Diorshow iconic overcurl 090 over black mascara. Eye brows were strong, redefined with Diorshow brow styler and Diorshow pump ’n’ brow (shade depending on skin tone).
COMPLEXION: skin was prepped using Dior backstage face & body primer 001universal, then Dior backstage face & body foundation was blended in according to skin tone. If necessary a few touches of Dior forever skin correct were applied (shade depending on skin tone), followed by a few touches of light with Dior backstage glow face palette 001 universal.
LIPS: smoothed with Dior lip sugar scrub 001, then heightened with Dior lip maximizer 001 pink
NAILS: Dior Vernis in 108 Muguet.
