Damiano Marini Fall Winter 2016/17 collection is based on a balance of warm nuances voluptuously wrapped on architectural and lattice shapes. The attention suddenly goes to the pointed sandals and to the gentle overlays of the handcrafted materials, such as suede, patent leather, laminated leather with mosaic effects or, moreover, to the stippled leather that, supported by a chromatic palette which takes inspiration from the autumn rural shades, creates an elegant and rough concept.
Burgundy, rust orange, dust blue and the gunmetal grey give colour to the geometric creations and balance to the poetic curves of the shapes, creating unexpected structures. Animalier micro-prints and shining effects finely pervade the surfaces of the instep, while the laces contribute to give a sporty allure to the open toe sandals.
The straps and the lace-up sandals, distinctive sign of the brand, enrich the stylistic repertoire of the designer, introducing the boyish loafers along with the high-heeled booties and the more feminine décolletés, as a mature expression of his creative flair.
