The fall / winter collection 2018-19 of 16R Firenze, the luxury knitwear brand created and created by the designer Romina Caponi, takes shape by retracing the film journey of Federico Fellini in two of his masterpieces "The Clown" and "8 1/2" .
The love and the magic of a surreal atmosphere makes Romina travel a path in her memories of time: the games as a child, lived as dreamlike attractions and memories of film in film, and seen today with the eye of melancholy but with the joy that the circus has always inspired the designer.
16R Firenze proposes this way handmade work with the roving and mini-pull yarns made with re-woven wool interlacements with emphasized proportions, oversized sweaters with maxi stripes and mini braided knickers in lurex alpaca. The fundamental elements of the collections are the long striped scarves with and without pockets to be used in every moment and shape, as in a circus game they are transformed into mini-dresses or become the defuse of a super cocktail dress. The culotte, protagonist in the collection of 16R Florence, sometimes becomes braids sometimes jacquard polka dots in all the yarns and colors of the collection. The lines are straight and simple, contrasting on all the garments the long fringes in shiny viscose, red and white, black and white, or the total natural white or the new orange.
This collection enhances even more the work done by hand with the rediscovery of a Made in Italy increasingly linked to craftsmanship and with attention to the environment.
All yarns are made in Tuscany with the eco principles. 16R Firenze pays homage to the art and beauty of simplicity with love towards a fashion that is increasingly attentive to the originality and quality of the product.
