Christmas mise en place by Dior Maison

Dedicated to art de vivre and the art of entertaining – two of Christian Dior’s key passions – the Dior Maison line, directed by Cordelia de Castellane, now welcomes an iconic motif: toile de Jouy.

Toile de Jouy, a great 18th-century French classic, was a favorite textile motif of Christian Dior who, in 1947, chose it to upholster his boutique “Colifichets”, realized with the decorator Victor Grandpierre following the advice of the artist Christian Bérard.

It was reinterpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the cruise 2019 collection with the introduction of a series of wild animals in lush vegetation. This season, this revisited design also makes its mark on the creations of Dior Maison, on a flatware service in blue or red conceived by Cordelia de Castellane.
