Haute Couture Roma 2016, The Accademia Costume & Moda

The Accademia Costume & Moda opens its doors for this summer edition of Altaroma on Friday, July 8th, from 3 pm until 10 pm. The Accademia will present to press, Institutions and friends all the projects created by the students of all its different courses during this last Academic Year, 2015-16.The Accademia will also inaugurate at 4.30 pm the new PC Lab sponsored and entirely funded thanks to the contribution of EUROMA2: 56 new MAC computers available to all students for academic purposes. One of the installations of the exhibition will be dedicated to the project in collaboration with the telephone service provider WIND. Exhibited a capsule collection dedicated to the new retail stores of the brand, designed by a group of students of the 2nd academic year (Alessia Conetta, Geneva Locatelli, Mauro Muzio Medal, Marta Enrica Paglialonga, Sara Pavani and Giacomo Pavia) WIND also offered a partial coverage scholarship for 1st year students of the 1st Level Academic Diploma in Costume and Fashion (AA 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018 -19). With regards to Costume the class laboratory projects are coordinated by Maestro Andrea Viotti and Alessandra Intini: 1st year students of the 1st Level Academic Diploma in Costume and Fashion (180 credits ECTS) created costumes inspired to the Opera "NABUCCO" by G. Verdi, revisiting the fashion Assyrian-Babylonian era; 2nd year students interpreted fashion of the 50’s, with particular attention to the New Look of Christian Dior; 3rd year students have come up with costumes from the years 1859-1864 originating from the mythical scene of the film "The Leopard" by Luchino Visconti. On display also the costumes created for the theatrical show CORTI MA LIRICI, (Costume Final Work), by Roberto Cavosi. The show was staged at the “Teatro Eliseo”, last May. The projects were internally coordinated, and entirely created by our new costume designers Donatella Boschetti, Eleonora Bruno, Camilla Giommarini, Julia Milli, Shehani Ranathunga, Annulled Round, Cloud Spezzaferro, Alexandra Spirea. The last Costumeinstallation will be a drawing exercise of the lingerie from the 1700’s and 1800’s, created by the students of the Vocational Course in Costume Design, followed by Andrea Viotti and Salvo Romeo. With regards to Fashion, there will be an installation of the outfits of our Talents 2016, who all showecased their collections during the last edition of Altaroma, on January 30th 2016: Flavia Colantoni, Andrea Di Salvo, Ilaria Fiore, Livia Francese, Sharon Journo Barda, Maria Martyashkina, Federica Melpignano, Svetlana Nadezhdina, Deniza Nugnes, Eleonora Olivieri, Heida Oskardottir, Federica Rabito, Francesca Richiardi, Martina Scattarella, Saima Shakoor. There is also a space dedicated to the outfits of the collection designed by our Talent Francesca Richiardi, winner of the 3rd edition of the LVMH Graduate prize 2016, last 16th of June in Paris, at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. INSTANT COUTURE: students of our Master's Degree in Alta Moda, Fashion Design in collaboration with the Maison VALENTINO, directed by Anngemma Lascari and coordinated by Max Pannitteri, will exhibit their creations, directly modeled on mannequin, without sketching on paper. This is an exercise inspired by the genesis of the Couture, in line with contemporary Haute Couture.  With regards to Accessories, the Master’s Degree class in Accessory design in collaboration with FENDI and directed by Luigi Mulas Debois, will present a preview of their creations. For FENDI, the students created a micro collection made of a bag, a pair of shoes and an accessory of choice (small leather goods, glasses, shoulder jewels) inspired by the “FENDI FUN" theme. For De Couture they designed a collection of different size and color bags, in line with the brand identity. For Dyloan Bond Factory, 3 selected students  (Paolo Rinaldi, Ilaria Bigelli and Livia Francese) have created an accessory each in hosiery, which was also presented at Pitti Filati Moda FUTURIBILE. For Marco Proietti Design, students designed a collection of shoes studying different structures and uppers. For STEFANO RUSSO Design, they will designed a pair of glasses respecting the stylistic characteristics of FENDI. For RUSSO DI CASANDRINO, students developed new prints for lambskin, re-using the defected and discarded leather. Our 2nd year students of the 1st Level Academic Diploma in Costume and Fashion presented an experimental laboratory of bags created in wood and fabric, under the name WOOD '50, while our 3rd year students created purses and shoes for men and women, inspired by the film "Melancholia" by Lars Von Trier.Passing to Communication, the 1st year students of the Undergraduate Program in “Fashion Editor Styling & Communication", coordinated by Romina Toscano, introduce two photographic editorials inserted in self created magazine projects. The students of the Vocational Course in Fashion Communication presented a photographic editorial inspired by the 80’s, and published on kaltblut Magazine. 
 Also on display the photographic editorial "L’Ecole" published in Nasty Magazine, edited by Martina Scorcucchi (ph. & Styling) enhancing the collections of some of our Talents 2016 (Deniza Nugnes, Andrea Fi Salvo, Francesca Richiardi, Eleonora Olivieri, Ilaria Fiore, Livia Francese).For Visual, our Intensive Course students in Visual Merchandising, coordinated by Elisa D’Amico, planned, designed and created an “ad hoc” window display for an in-house event called "recycled and reusable" at the Natural Shoes boutique in Rome, which was dedicated to vegan lifestyle.For Jewellery, Marina Valli coordinator of our course, supported the students in the creation of a bijoux collection created for TONATTO Profumi. For the NIYO & CO (Italian Firm of Beauty) project, 3rd year students of our Academic Diploma in Costume and Fashion, present their designs for aprons dedicated to sales staff of the brand stores. The winner of the contest is Flavia Cavasino, who created an apron embellished with unique details inspired by the made in Italy concept. Exhibited also the outfits of some of the Schools who took part at the Milan Graduate Fashion Week 2016 – MILANO MODA GRADUATE last June. The event was promoted by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, (Italian Association for Fashion Education), and Camera Nazionale della Moda, Italian Chamber of Fashion.  The Accademia will also inaugurate the Fabrics Archive, first in Rome, sponsored by ALESILK, GENTILI MOSCONI, LANIFICIO DI SORDEVOLO and OSTINELLI SETA. Last but not least, the Accademia will present the new academic offer by AMFAV (Accademia Media Film & Arti Visive): the 3-year Undergraduate Course in Media Film & Visual Arts, the Master’s Degree in 2D & 3D Animation and the Master’s Degree in Filmmaking,
