Even to say they seem to be two impossible oxymorons to combine: the queen of pop and the king of chic minimalism; the sexy starlet and the fashion prophet Japan. And yet they should not have thought of it at the top of the fashion house founded by the legendary Kenzo Takada who wanted just the busty American singer Britney Spears to embody the mood of the new spring / summer 2018 collection of the maison.
With an aim behind the lens, an ace of fashion photography like Peter Lindbergh, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the two creative directors of the brand, have chosen to give a strong and decisive image that reflects what was already expressed in the collection, with cult items of the maison that, salvaged from the archive, have been completely reinterpreted and unstructured to show the new soul of Kenzo but also that there is a link with the past that none of the two designers respectfully intends to break, otherwise they would never have intentionally been inspired by the heritage historical of the brand.
