Surprisingly Denim
In Roy Roger’s Summer 2018 Women’s Collection, denim isn’t only found in trousers: it’s also the theme of many unexpected proposals that enhance the powerful yet delicate feminine elegance.
Denim is pleated into the new midi-skirt; it gives the oversize palazzo trousers a custom-made look; it blends with linen in the broad skirt pants with striking high cuffs; it’s rough cut and fringed on the soft trench coat in the men’s line; it lends rock-music style to the new trouser suit with leather jacket.
The new denim looks fringed and timeworn; it attains lightness and is enhanced by unusual details. It can never be taken for granted: oversize jackets with frayed edges; loose-fitting shorts with multi-coloured trimmings; tops with wide, ruffled short sleeves and fringed ends; high-waist jeans with handmade patterns.
A new look is also in store for the volumes and wearability of the silk garment-dyed blouses and of the dresses and skirts in cotton and linen, which are now wider and softer.
The collection is rounded off by a proposal of a T-shirt and sweatshirt with prints of Olive and Popeye, to be worn beneath a nappa and chamois leather jacket with fringes and hubcaps.
