For the fall/winter 2017-18 collection, Ballantyne took inspiration from three countries with strong emotional and productive links with the brand: Mongolia, Scotland, and Italy.
It’s a real journey into these countries through their tradition, atmosphere, and colors. At the same time, it is a study of their exquisite craftsmanship and great know-how of a century-old manufacturing traditions.
Ballantyne went to Mongolia to rescue the ancient hand looms, which are essential for creating our unique inlays. The brand was also fascinating by the ethnic design and the use of the vivid colors.
Ballantyne chose Scotland to pay homage to its roots and heritage. The brand also restarts a “Made in Scotland” production, taking advantage of the greatest yarn and the clearest waters.
Ballantyne went to Italy to celebrate a never-ending story of style and high-quality production. Italy is where most of the production has been brought back to, starting with this season.
