The Beauty Look for Fall 2016

Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, was inspired by Paris and the architecture of the Eiffel Tower in conceiving Skyline, this autumn’s beauty look. In 1953, Christian Dior celebrated the Eiffel Tower by designing the A line. Today, Peter Philips pays tribute to the couturier and the French capital with an architectural beauty look. "In Paris, at the heart of the city, is an icon that defies the sky, with an architecture that's solid, light and transparent all at once. It dominates the capital and is visible from far away: the Eiffel Tower. The Skyline collection echoes this architectural masterpiece by focusing on luminance and a head-turning transparency, the very definition of elegance," Peter Philips explains. Thus the Eiffel Tower becomes the symbol of a new collection that combines backstage innovation with the simplicity of everyday makeup. Through shadows and light, warm and icy shades, strength and lightness, these new creations distill the distinctive character of the Parisian autumn.

The look for this fall, designed by Peter Philips, is literally captivating. The 5 Couleurs Skyline palettes are adorned with a motif suggesting the metal structure of the Eiffel Tower and come in shades of beige, blue or gray to evoke the Paris sky with modernity and poetry. The eyelids are also given the smoky treatment with a lustrous finish saturated with shine thanks to Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky, giving a nod to the sparkling Eiffel Tower. The Diorshow Pro Liner redefines the eyes and the melting texture of Diorshow Brow Chalk structure brows in one simple action. On the cheeks, Diorblush Light & Contour redesigns facial features with a double matte and pearlized tip combining the techniques of strobing and contouring to sculpt with light and shade. Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer revives the complexion’s natural glow with its light powder and illuminating pigments. Lastly, Dior Addict Lipstick, Dior Addict Ultra Gloss and the Dior nail varnishes welcome a number of new shades, dégradés of flaming red tones, chocolate or copper. A host of exciting creations that capture the architecture and autumnal skies of Paris.
